This Grip is a great addition to your DSLR. The grip has two functions, the first being the ability to use EN-EL3e batteries to using the included magazine, use the included 8 AA battery magazine to operate the camera with normal AA batteries or use an EN-EL4 battery with the included BL3 cover for extended battery life. This provides you with several different options for powering your camera.
*Note: EN-EL4 batteries provide higher frame rates and longer battery life.

The other function of this grip is ease of use when shooting in portrait orientation. The grip adds extra buttons and a dial (AF-on button, front and rear dials, vertical shutter release as well as a selection joystick style button) to use with your DSLR. There is also a tripod socket for mounting to the bottom of the grip.

This Phottix brand grip performs just like the original MB-10 but we are offering it at a fraction of the price.
