Thử pm nguyên cái lịch trình, thời gian và nơi đến từng địa điểm trong chuyến đi vừa qua của gia đình Mark. Apham có thể coi qua và research tìm những nơi phù hợp cho chuyến đi ngắn ngày của apham, nhưng dài quá không pm được đành post ra đây luôn vậy:
Day01 - Explore the South East of the Island
First stop is the Paiko Lagoon Wildlife Sanctuary.
Continue with visit to the world famous Hanauma Bay for some snorkeling/swimming.
Next stop, is Halona Cove/ Halona blow hole.
After stopping at Makapu’u lookout, we continue our drive to Waimanalo beach.
Stop at lanikai/kailua beach for sun bathing and swimming.
Lát stop is the world renowned Pali lookout.
Day02 - Explore North Shore
First stop is the Byodo Temple located at the base of stunning 2000 foot lush green cliffs.
Drive along Kahana Bay arriving at Laie Point.
Continue north the visit Kahuku shrimp farms and taste some succulent shrimp dish at the famous Kahuku shrimp truck.
Stop over at Kuilima Cove for swimming and snorkeling.
Next stop Pu’u O Mahuka Heilau, excellent place to view entire North Shore coastline.
At Turtle Beach(Laniakea Beach). We stop to observe green sea turtles resting on sand.
Travel south we arrive at the colorful village of Haleiwa. Here we can try some refreshing shaved ice, shop at North shore market place and possibly some Thai food served by a truck (Opal’s Thai food truck- 66 460 kamehameha hwy.#808-381-8091 the truck close at 7pm.
Day03 - Honolulu & vicinity
Drive to open flea market/swap meet at Aloha stadium, I happened to stumble on some.
Drive a 10 miles stretch of curvy and mountainous drive on Tantalus and Round Top drive including a stop at the Puu Ualakaa State Wayside Park. This drive will leads you through a wonderful tropical jungle with glimpses of Diamond Head, Honolulu and Punch Bowl.
Check out St. Augustine Catholic church. Noted for it’s magnificent stained glass of St. Augustine which stands at 76 feet high and 35 feet wide.
Day04 - Polynesian Cultural Center
First stop is Olomana Orchids farm, where it has an abundant of Hawaii flowers and Denbrobium orchids.
Next stop is the Macadamia farms where we can samples free macadamia nuts.
Final destination, the Polynesian Cultural Center.
Our Deluxe Luau package includes admission to IMAX theatre(Gina’s favorite) features the spectacular Coral Reef Adventure.
Luau Buffet dinner with roast pork, chicken teriyaki, salad and tropical fruits for desert.
Best for last is the 90 minute Horizons show which features a cast of over 100 young Polynesians that will enchant you with their enthusiasm, grace, endurance and beauty.
Our day ends probably around 11pm.
Day05 - Botanical garden and waterfalls
We arrive at Hoomaluhia Botanical Garden, nested at the foot of the steepest Koolau mountains.
After a long 27miles drive, we visit Dole pineapple plantation. The pineapple ice cream there is said to die for.
Continue our drive to Waimea Valley Park. Here, we can stroll thru paved roads enroute to waterfalls. Distance is 1.5 mi round trip.
Don't forget to stop by the Waialua old sugar mill. The mill stopped operate in 1996 but there are many small shops with an old town atmostphere.
Day06 – Westside of Island
Before we journey onto the Westside of the island, our first stop is one of the world’s premier botanical garden, the Lyon Arboretum, an exotic rainforest paradise home to 5,000 species of plants, including the largest collection of palm trees varieties on Earth. After 1 hour drive along the scenic highway, we arrive at Kaena Point State Park.
Kaena Point State Park is a post card perfect mile-long stretch of white sand beach, located near the western tip of the island of Oahu. What set this beach apart is it’s isolation from the crowds.
Our final stop is Ko Olina lagoons, man-made lagoons are perfect for swimming any time of the year. The lagoons are sandy beaches and surrounded by grass and shaded picnic area.
