• DX AF Nikkor: All functions supported
• Type G or D AF Nikkor: All functions supported (PC Micro-Nikkors do not support some functions)
• Other AF Nikkor: All functions supported except 3D Color Matrix Metering II. Lenses for F3AF not supported.
• AI-P Nikkor: All functions supported except 3D Color Matrix Metering II
• Non-CPU: Autofocus not supported. Can be used in exposure mode M, but exposure meter does not function. Electronic rangefinder can be used if lens has a maximum aperture of f/5.6 or faster.

Xin phép múa rìu qua mắt thợ tí ạh:

- Lens AF (trừ dòng F3AF), AFG, AFD, AFS thì D90 hỗ trợ đầy đủ tính năng như tự động lấy nét, đo sáng ma trận 3D Color Matrix Metering II.
- AF 50mm/1.4D của bác thuộc dòng AF-AI (gọi tắt AFD): Vì vậy đương nhiên D90 hỗ trợ tất cả các tính năng.
- "Non-CPU: Autofocus not supported. Can be used in exposure mode M, but exposure meter does not function" Cái này là lens không có chip xử lý, Manual Focus (MF) nói chung. Ví dụ như lens K, H, Auto Q... (ngàm non-AI) lens đời E, AI, AIs (ngàm AI). Dịch nghĩa câu trên thì "Với các lens MF, D90 sẽ không hỗ trợ lấy nét tự động, chỉ có thể sử dụng với D90 ở Mode M (Auto, P, S, A Mode không sử dụng được) và D90 cũng không hỗ trợ đo sáng với các ống kính MF"
- 50mm/1.4 AIS của bác thuộc nhóm Non-CPU - Lấy nét bằng tay, đo sáng bằng niềm tin bác ạh!!!
